Your webmaster purchased a Super 8 movie camera at the PX in An Khe soon after arrival in country. This video is based on Super 8 movie film recorded during a pre-mission helicopter flyover in October ’69. Stan Craig, who would be the team leader, is on the video. Holmen was the ATL, and the remaining two team members were Montagnards, Siek and Kai, which proved to be a problem because they did not have radio clearance which meant either Craig or Holmen had to pull night watch.
During the actual mission, the team had a major contact with a platoon of NVA.
